A quick one for all those who are wondering where they can get free security software for their PCs:

30+ Free Security, Encryption Firewall and Antivirus Apps for Windows

My recomendations?

Antivirus – AVG 8 (but disable the link scanner)

Firewall – Zone Alarm

Encryption – Truecrypt

Digital Signing and Encryption – GnuPG

Although you know what my ultimate recomendation would be right?
