Encrypt Bit Torrent Traffic (for three Windows clients at least)

// October 19th, 2006 // Tech

Bit torrent … ah how I love thee.

Unfortunately with the increase in broadband proliferation more and more ISPs are cracking down on suspected bit torrent traffic.

Fortunately 2 3 of the most popular windows torrent clients (Azureus, BitComet and my personal fave µTorrent) offer encryption options for your downloads. You can get the whole scoop at element 14 – How to Encrypt Bit Torrent Traffic.

Update: My apologies to element 14. In my haste to scan the post and link it I didn’t notice the instructions for BitComet nestling in there. I’ve updated the post accordingly and am sorry if I caused any offence – Rob
