Theme Change
// June 12th, 2006 // Tech
The eagle eyed among you may have spotted that my spring re-boot design didn’t last for very long.
Frankly I grew tired of it really quickly and it didn’t have the impact I’d hoped for. Plus, as summer has finally arrived, I thought something a little more seasonal was in order – no more grey’s and blacks and drippy badness.
So I’m using a variation on one of my favourite stock themes for Wordpress – Durable v0.2.1. As you can probably tell this theme inspired may of the features in DTR2.0 but pulls them off properly
This will probably remain in place until the autumn reboot which I’m planning to be Canvas compatible and re-usable for other peeps out there … or until I get bored of it and change it again with no warning.

Very nice and ermmmm…. Very orange.
I like oranges.
Ah but you can change your colous using the colur changy thing on the menu bar!!! So you could make it red and black
Ah, I have this one installed and will probably play around with it once exams are over…or maybe just use Canvas, it looks pretty cool. Anyway, I much prefer this one to the Raindrop/water thing…sorry!
Thats fine – the raindrop / water thingy was a bit rushed and lacked polish. Wait till you see what I’ve got in store for Autumn!
It’s nice, Rob. But I’m not keen on inline external links disappearing on hover. I think it’s a bug rather than a feature. Any chance of sorting it?
Dan.
Cheers Dan.
It was indeed a bug and has now been fixed. It arose due to the use of background css short hand used in both a plugin and the theme’s stylesheet.
Note to developers. Don’t use short hand unless you are specifying all elements of an attribute!
Rob
Ok, fixed may be a little strong. I upgraded the external links plugin and now the icon has gone.
This one can keep till the morning but rest assured … it will be sorted!
Bugger it… external links are screwed and I have no idea why.
Unfortunately this has slipped down the priorites list somewhat but I’ll take a look at the weekend.
