Back up Wordpress to Email

Joy of joys a simple backup solution for Wordpress users.
Amazingly it only needs two plugins (and one of them is installed by default)
davebgimp.com » Daily backups for WordPress with Gmail.
As an aside, I’ve set up a couple of rules and a folder in Gmail so that the backups are only kept for a month and are sorted out of the general stream of mail that passes through.

Looks like a good solution, a bit like my extensive use of general backup tips to Gmail found on Lifehacker.com: http://lifehacker.com/software/backup-utilities/download-of-the-day-gmailsync-171319.php
Oh, and any idea what’s up with Lemurgirl’s RSS feed? Not that she’s updated in a while, but if she had, I wouldn’t know!
Some of those look handy. As my .Mac subscription is about to expire and my amazing backup project hasn’t been finished yet I’ll have to look into using some of them.
As for Lemur’s RSS – which one were you subscribed to? The redirect that I’d setup seems to have failed but MuNu ftp is on the fritz so I can’t check it out. lemurgirl.mu.nu/feed/ should do it.

Hmm, maybe it was just me, reloading it without the http:// seemed to work…perhaps a glitch in Netvibes. As for the lifehacker scripts, there are some awesome ones for cleaning out the Firefox cache or a script that deletes all files in the Temp folders over x days old…makes me very happy, as I couldn’t write them on my own!
Also check out these batch scripts for your common workspaces:http://www.lifehacker.com/software/feature/hack-attack-quick-launch-workspaces-154193.php
Saves me a lot of time…oh and I’m lazy
Ah but them’s be batch files thems be – not a lot of use to us Mac-ish types. Could do it in actionscript though so not too bad!
