More Wookie Nonsense

I fear I may have started something here!

After the previous piss poor efforts (sorry mate but the truth hurts) I’ve had two more sent in all the way from Exeter in the UK!!!

Actually they are really the same attempt but the creator of these wonderful attempts thought it would sound more convincing with a bit of cheap reverb … hmm …

Wookie from Devon - original (MP3 - 32KB)

Wookie from Devon - remastered
(MP3 - 32KB)

The remastered one is definitely worse than the original but the original isn’t that hot either.

All of these attempts seem to run a scale to the down range and peter off. Wookies don’t do that. The Wookie noise is flat and cuts off sharply to finish.

3 out of 10 for the original. 1 for the remaster.

Ouch - Jim you’re a hard man … especially as I don’t seem to have your impersonation in the old inbox ;-)

I would also say that whilst I agree in principle that non of these noise has been even close to the real deal, Chewie has at least 5 or 6 unique tonal patterns that I can recall and any one of them could be used as the basis for an impression.

On a (semi) related note - did you know that the blaster sounds in SW were made by the SFX team hitting a taut steel hawser with a hammer? How cool is that!
