A wonderful weekend

// November 28th, 2005 // Personal

Or not.

I seem to be stuck under something of a black cloud at the moment. Hardly surprising all things considered.

Friday night was an ok one. Went to a local restaurant for my mum’s work leaving do. I’m still not too sure how I ended up getting invited but I was so I went. I had to be careful though as on Saturday I had two installs of the Paymaster app to do.

This actually highlighted something I love about Jersey. The directions to the second install took me most of the way along my usual route to work and then down a little lane I must have passed at least 500 times thinking it was a drive way. It wasn’t and took me all the way down to a little valley with some lovely cottages and a hump backed bridge. Had I not needed to explicitly visit one of the cottages I would probably have spent my entire life not know they existed.

Installs done and time to head home to work on the new help and support centre for the Paymaster website.

Sunday meant a lazy morning followed by Petanque in the afternoon (we got creamed!) and then dinner and the meeting of a good friend for a quiet (shortly to become not so quiet) drink.

***

Reading that back I actually wonder why I bothered typing it but if anybody actually has an interest in the general level of inanity that makes up my day to day then please enjoy and tell your friends.

Like I said – something of a black cloud

  1. Jim says:

    That didn’t seem cloudy at all. In fact, quite the opposite.
