Other reasons I’m in a bad mood

I go on holiday in 2 days and not only will I do so without a laptop (this is not a geeky requirement by the way, I had some serious work to do when zooming between places on trains) but I’m also going to do it without a cash card … because it got eaten on Friday and banks being the speedy SOB’s that they are, it will take at least 1 week to get me a new one…

Plus I’m down to the last cheque in my cheque book and the automated system that normally sends me 2 about three minutes after I got my last book hasn’t bothered to send me anything time. Not that it matters because without a Cheque Guarantee card (which is also the cash card which got eaten) then a cheque book is worthless…

So to summarize, I’m going on holiday with no means of getting hold of cash outside of actually visiting a branch and making a withdrawal. This in turn will lead to me carrying a lot of cash around with me something which I haven’t done since my wallet was lifted in Southampton 4 years ago taking my entire spending money with it.

Of course I could use my Credit Card bu the earliest I can get funds on that is 3 days because I have to run a BACS transfer due to my NOT HAVING A DEBIT CARD!!!!!!!

Fuck fucking fuck bastards FUCKKKK!!!

    Prob not no. Everything else seems to be taking about a week to sort out which is 5 days more than I have. Even then I’ll still need to go to a bank to cash them…

    That’s not too convenient. Over here you can cash them just about anywhere as long as you have photo ID.

    Yeah life over here is totally convenient … until you leave the system.

    It’s weird as I always said that the lightest I could travel would be my mobile phone and my wallet … at least the phone still works!

    but there are plenty lots banks in durham and it’s a safe place to be carrying cash provided you don’t wave it around your head going “ooo! ooo! i’ve got lots of money!” coz then you’ll be lynched.
