It looks as though Jersey may be getting it’s first proper music festival. The field owned by the RJAHS will be used for the event on Sept 4th with what looks to be quite a good line up of bands. far more exciting though (or at least to me) is the lineup for the dance tent. Leftfield’s Paul Daley as well as the truly excellent Scratch Perverts look like they may be doing a set.

Jersey has quite a active live music scene but I have often lameneted the lack of a decent dance underground movement on the scale of the one i used to enjoy in Exeter. If this festival comes off it will warrent the beginning of a new era in live music for the Island and may well attract larger groups and DJ’s to play future events.
