Snooze Button Dreams Design

Some of you may recall that a while ago Jim from Snooze Button Dreams put out a call for a new design for the site. Well, I have finally answered that call and two of the initial designs are available for your approval and comments. The third should be joining them any day now, maybe when I stop doing massive catch up posts about the past three days activities.

There is also a fantastic design from the Bartender which has been up for quite a while now (what I’ve been BUSY!). All I have to work out is how to combine all three designs into a Skinable interface … ugh! I have a few ideas though so don’t worry.

Looks like it! I’m not sure how the final design is going to turn out but it seems to be leaning towards black and purple … which could be problematic as I don’t really like purple. But what the hell.

Looks like blue & orange has the lion’s share of support as the default page. At least until we see design #3. ;-)

    Robert:

I’ve been busy with a couple of designs myeslf the past few days. Just stopped in over at SBD and looked at your designs… you are awesome! I disagree with the majority in this case though, the elegant design is better. I would say it needs a small splash of color somewhere but not much. You graphics on that are just fucking great! Really cool! Graphics on the other are nice also.

After seeing your stuff, I need to go back and re-do my design. Make it into a two column but keep the basic scheme together… make the wide borders 5px instead of 15px so they are so noticeable… he likes the cow pic… some little stuff like that. Maybe I can do that over the weekend and send it back to him.

Anyway… an outstanding job on both those designs!

    Mr Robert:

I just finished tweeking the SBD site making it into a two column design and changing some little things up. I “borrowed” a design idea from this layout - putting all the site info crap under the blog entries so they don’t readily show up on the sidebar. If that’s not OK, I’ll change it. I think it looks a whole lot better than the 3 col design.

I can’t upload because there is something funky going on over at MuNu all day…intermittant access to sites and to editing. As soon as it comes back up, I’ll upload the files back to Jim’s temp site for my design. Meanwhile, the almost finished one is at my test lab

    Merry rest of the day!

I think the Hammerhead (Bartender) design is just about finished. Over the weekend we fixed the last nasty problem (caused by one of your most hated foes - the “target=main” declaration) and it’s just down to finalizing text size in the body and hyperlink look in the sidebar.
